Welcome

Most likely, you found your way here because you're wanting something to change in your life or in yourself. Maybe you're wanting to change a family situation, improve a relationship, solve a specific problem or simply bring a healthier balance to your life. The situation that brings you here may be a recent one, or it may be a problem that you have struggled with for a long time.

If you're like most people, you have probably expended your best efforts to change things on your own. When we do our best and change does not come, it is easy to feel "stuck", discouraged or even hopeless.

Counseling can help.

Counseling is the process that seeks to help you get "unstuck" and to bring about change. Counseling provides a safe, supportive and relaxed place where you can explore your feelings and pursue the work needed to be done in order to achieve the specific change you're seeking.

My name is Christie Widger, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Huntsville, AL. I provide counseling and coaching services to children, teens, adults, parents and families who are dealing with many issues including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, divorce, parenting, ADHD and school difficulties. I am committed to helping clients on their journey to self-discovery and positive change so that they may move toward health, wholeness and a life lived more fully.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact me so that we can discuss your needs and figure out together if you or your family could benefit from counseling or coaching services and if I am the right therapist for you. If not, I will help you find a good match for your needs.

Take the first step toward change and call today!

You can reach me by phone at (256) 655-6762 or by email at christie@footstepscounseling.net. I look forward to hearing from you!
